Is technology viewed as a positive or a negative force in the novel? By whom? What does an individual’s perspective on technology reveal about their character? How is each character’s attitude about this issue used to advance the plot?

Describe Jett’s character development as the story progresses. Do you think he has learned any valuable lessons at the Oasis? If so, what are they? What traits does he retain from his Super Brat days? Are these useful? 

Discuss the ways in which each of the four central characters lead isolated lives at the beginning of the novel. What aspects of their temperaments and family history might lead to this condition?
