Nathan goes to Bree’s studio. Before he can go in, his mother, Vivian, calls him. She presses him about taking time away from training to be with Bree, but Nathan pushes back against her criticism. Vivian never liked Bree, even in high school, so her distaste for their relationship is not surprising to Nathan. He will allow his mother to criticize him, but not Bree. He tells her that she can either support his relationship with Bree or no longer be in his life. She sputters and hangs up on him, though he knows that his father will call and guilt him about it later. Nathan signs an autograph for a pizza delivery boy at the pizza place downstairs from Bree’s studio and then heads up to surprise her, which is part of the romance cheat sheet. He remembers feeling a connection between them during the commercial shoot, but when he dropped her off, Bree bolted out of the car with barely a goodbye. She cited her period as an explanation for the hasty departure, but Nathan remembered that Bree had already mentioned having her period the week prior.
Bree is shocked to see Nathan, and her teenage students are thrilled, flirting with Nathan as he takes Bree back to her office.
