The narrator and main character of *The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian*. Junior is a 14-year-old Spokane Indian boy who is highly intelligent, loves basketball, and draws cartoons. Born with hydrocephaly, he is marked as an outsider on the reservation and often bullied. He navigates the complexities of his identity between his community in Wellpinit and his new life in Reardan.
