Jean navigates personal and societal challenges, striving to achieve his goals while witnessing and experiencing the impact of the Rwandan genocide. Naomi Benaron, the author of Running the Rift, has a background in both science and the arts, with degrees in geology and physics, as well as an MFA in creative writing.
