Scheherazade was relaxing in her apartment in Saint-Germain when she suddenly heard cars honking in the street. Annoyed that her quiet evening was being disrupted, she looked outside and saw Carlton Bao “standing on the roof of a Range Rover parked outside her building, holding up a boom box that was blasting Peter Gabriel’s ‘In Your Eyes’” (335).
