My Fault

Nick leaves the restaurant with Anna. On the drive, he stews over seeing Mario and Noah together. Needing time alone, he drops Anna off and goes to the club. While drinking, he starts thinking about the past.

After his mom left, Nick met and moved in with Lion. Through Lion, Nick found people who respected him. However, William pulled him away from the gang and insisted he move home. Although life “in that neighborhood had been tough,” Nick misses living with Lion (208). He’s in trouble with Ronnie now, too, and doesn’t know what will happen. A girl he slept with once approaches and interrupts his thoughts.

Nick leaves the club. In the lot, Ronnie and his friends are leaning against Nick’s Ferrari. They demand that Nick beg for it back and threaten to make Noah pay for embarrassing Ronnie. The men get into a fight. When Nick gets home, he is furious to discover Noah is still out. He cleans up from the fight and calls Noah, hearing her phone ring as she enters the front hall.

Nick demands to know where Noah was. Confused by Nick’s mood, she explains that she went out for ice cream with Mario, Jenna, and Lion.
