Forget Me Not

Three months later, Calli’s mom is still dating Tom. She comes home later and starts to play with Calli’s hair.

Calli’s mom suddenly realizes that she forgot to trim Calli’s hair that week. Calli tries to drum up the courage to tell her that she doesn’t want her hair cut anymore, but the tea kettle sounds from the kitchen, and Calli decides not to say anything.

Calli tells herself that next time she’ll have the courage to tell her mom not to cut her hair.
