Feyre Archeron

Feyre is the 19-year-old protagonist of _A Court of Thorns and Roses_. She is a skilled huntress who dreams of being a painter. At the outset, she struggles with low self-esteem and has internalized criticisms from her sisters. Her journey involves gaining confidence and recognizing her strength and skills.

Tamlin is a 500-year-old High Fae, the High Lord of Pyrthian’s Spring Court, and Feyre’s romantic interest. He is a shape-shifter cursed to remain in beast form unless a human woman falls in love with him. Tamlin is burdened with protecting his court and experiences guilt over his family's past actions.

Rhysand is the High Lord of the Night Court and Tamlin’s nemesis, known for his morally ambiguous nature. He serves Amarantha while secretly plotting against her. He forms a tentative friendship with Feyre and becomes more significant in later novels.
